The University of Naples Federico II bears in its name the memory of the Swabian emperor who founded it with the generalis lictera on June 5, 1224 and, therefore, it is considered the oldest public university in the world.

Inside the Campus
The Campus San Giovanni is a new university site of the Federico II and is located in the area named San Giovanni a Teduccio. Around the University Campus a large Innovation District has been set up, which attracts and welcomes investments, large companies, SMEs and innovative start-ups, and research and culture centres.
The campus is constituted of buildings devised in separate functional lots for light and heavy laboratories, conference rooms, teaching laboratories, and departments.

General Plan of Campus San Giovanni
The oral sessions will be held in the Auditorium located on the second floor of L1 building. It features a built-in stage with a speaker podium and is provided with state -of-the- art AV equipment and a projector screen. All the area dedicated to the workshop are fully accessible to disabled participants.
